Iriditing

Iriditing offers excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance and is also an excellent primer coat for paint or other organic coatings. This process involves covering the surface of the enclosure with an oxide layer that chemically reacts to form metal chromates. It is most often used to prepare steel, aluminum, and magnesium surfaces. Our standard iriditing material is non-chromium based (Non Hexavalent Chromium), as per RoHS requirements.

Anodizing

This electrolytic passivation process is used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts.
