Emerson acquires Innovative Control Systems

July 1, 2010 — Emerson Process Management acquired Clifton Park, N.Y.-based Innovative Control Systems Inc. (ICS), a leader in turbine control upgrades for power generation applications. The acquisition expands Emerson’s capabilities in the growing combustion turbine automation market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ICS provides turnkey solutions – including planning, engineering, configuration, installation, and commissioning – for turbomachinery automation retrofits. This complements Emersons expertise in turbine condition monitoring and protection systems, instrumentation, analyzers and valves.
