Ge Energy Opens New Optimization and Control Customer Application Center in Florence, Italy

ATLANTA, GA., March 7, 2007- GE Energy's optimization and control business has announced the opening of a Customer Application Center (CAC) in Florence, Italy. The new CAC will provide customers with an up-close look at advanced technology optimization and control products and services, including the latest developments in machinery diagnostics, reliability, controls, plant asset management and System 1 solutions for the power generation, oil and gas, pulp and paper, cement and mining segments.

The CAC in Florence and the other in Moscow are the two CACs operating in Europe. As part of the GE Oil and Gas Florence Learning Center, which is the largest training center in Europe, the CAC uses the services of a 5,600-square-meter facility with 30 fully equipped rooms for customer-tailored activities. This learning center also provides conference services, offering a convenient location with state-of-the-art technical resources and highly trained GE specialists.
