Honeywell Licenses Patented Navigation Technology

PHOENIX, June 15, 2006 -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that it has licensed LG Electronics Inc. (LGE) to use twelve of its Global Positioning System (GPS), Vehicle Navigation, and Driver Interface patents for certain automotive OEM and aftermarket applications.

Honeywell’s patented technologies relates to improvements to Vehicle Navigation Systems, GPS systems, and Hybrid Systems that use inertial components to supplement GPS accuracy. Also included are patents that relate to Real-Time Traffic Broadcasts and Hazard Avoidance. The licensed patents include, among others, US Patent Nos. 6,289,277, 6,691,030, and 6,700,482, and their foreign counterparts.
